Memorial Day Weekend

For Memorial Day weekend, we went camping with Poppa, Nana, Uncle Shawn, Aunt Brooke, and the girls! It was a lot of fun!  It was also a lot of work camping with a baby! :) But, Cooper did great!  He was a good little camper!

We had so much stuff to pack we had to tie it down! It's funny that someone so little can require so much stuff!

Cooper was Poppa's boy the whole weekend! He wanted Poppa to hold him 24/7

 

He LOVED riding on the barge and helping Poppa drive!

This was his first time to ever try and swim in the lake.  And to put in bluntly..He HATED it! As soon as his feet hit the water, he was crying, so we just hung out on the barge :)

And then it was time to crash!  She wore herself out!

 

There was a playground right by our campsite and the kids loved it!

 

On Sunday, we had a beach day.  Cooper liked the sand, but still wanted nothing to do with the water.

Cooper's early birthday present

Sunday, Eric and Cooper made a trip to Atwoods and daddy bought Coop his first birthday present, his very own wagon.  He loves to ride in the wagon at Poppa's house, so now he has one at home too.  Daddy couldn't wait to give it to him so he went ahead and put it together.

After further examination, he realized the wagon had the worst assembly instructions ever! :)

Thanks to daddy and Cooper's handy man skills, the wagon was successfully put together and Coop loved it!

Only 3 more weeks till his first birthday!  I'm sure this will be the first of many gifts ;)

11 MONTHS OLD!

Cooper man, today you are 11 months old!  The months keep going by faster and faster it seems.  I can't believe next month your sticker will say 12 months!!  Hard to believe!  You continue to be a little ham. You have become a dancer.  Every time music comes on you start to shake your hiney.  Its the cutest thing ever! You are also in that stage of having meltdowns if you don't get your way.  If I take something away or close a cabinet door you are not supposed to be in, oh boy you let me know you do not like it :)  You aren't walking yet, but you stand holding on to things.  Last night you let go and stood by your self for about 2 seconds and then you sat down.  You did this a couple of times.  You were cracking yourself up :)  You still will not eat table foods.  As soon as it hits your mouth you gag.  You wouldn't even eat mashed potatoes!!  I hoping you outgrow your aversion to certain food textures!  You have started to eat some baby snacks like mum mums, so its improving, its just a slow process.  You love water which makes this momma happy!  And I can officially say you sleep through the night now.  It has been about a month since you woke up at night! YAY!  And since last month, you now say "MOMMA"!  It melted my heart the first time you said it.

Last month, Cooper had his very first school pictures taken and they came in last week.  I thought they turned out super cute!!!! I have a feeling I'm gonna be a sucker for ordering school pictures especially if they all turn out this good :)



My first Mother's Day

This Mother's Day was extra special because it was my FIRST Mother's Day :)  I am so very blessed to have this little man in my life!  I love him more than words can express!  I am one lucky mommy!

He's easily distracted these days so getting him to look at the camera is a bit more challenging than it used to be :)

I hope everyone's Mother's Day was as special as mine!
