36 weeks!

Well, only 4 weeks left!  I had a doctor's appointment this week and other than having lower back pain, everything is good so far.  She started checking me this week too and no dilation as of this week.  She said she thought he was head down, which I'm very excited about.  At one point he was breech, so I've been praying that he would turn.  We'll know for sure though in 2 weeks when she does another ultrasound.  I'm anxious to see how big he is! :)  Everyone has told me they think he is coming early.  I guess we'll see!  It's crazy thinking that really any day he could be here.  I'm so ready though!! I can't wait to meet my little man :)

Blossom Festival 2011

This weekend was the Magnolia Blossom Festival Steak Cook off.   If you have never been, it is alot of fun, especially if you love steak and shopping.  People come from all around to cook hoping to win the grand prize of $4000 plus the title of having the champion steak.  I think this year there were about 75 teams competing.  This will be the third year Eric has cooked for the bank.  We have never won, but we always have a good time!  Eric's family comes down to help cook too, so it is a fun day.  While the boys cook, us girls hit up all the craft booths and shop around the square.  I can't believe I made it the whole day this year, but I did!  The only bad part of the day is when it came a flood!  But that didn't stop everyone from cooking and eating.  The steaks were great!  Here are a few pictures from the day.

Baby Shower #2

This week the bank gave us a wonderful baby shower!  Eric works with a great group of people!  All ladies! HA!  We had so much fun.  Both our mom's were able to come to Magnolia too to join in the fun.

They made a cute corsage that had a little hat that Cooper can wear.  We thought it would be much better (and funnier) if Eric wore it.

We played the "Guess what candy bar is in the diaper" game

I doubt I will be doing this with real diapers!

I love Eric's face here!  I can't wait till he has to change his first diaper. HAHA!

Next, we played a game I had never played before.  They dumped a bucket of different baby socks out on the floor and you had 30 seconds to make as many pairs as you could.

Good practice for when I start doing Cooper's laundry :)

They got us so many cute things!  Onesies, receiving blankets, bibs, and burp cloths.  So sweet!

We were so surprised because they got us our baby swing and high chair!

Next, it was time for cake.  It was so good!

We want to thank Summit Bank for a wonderful shower!  It was so much fun and we really appreciate it!

Baby Moon to Remember

Eric and I decided that we wanted to take a little trip just the two of us before mister Cooper arrives.  We didn't want to spend a lot of money so we decided to go to Lake Degray for the weekend.  Eric's dad has a nice camper and they also just bought a new party barge, so we thought that would be the perfect combination for a relaxing weekend.  Well, not so much!!  I swear everything went wrong on this trip that could have.  When we took the camper out Thursday afternoon to get set up, the electronic jack on the camper broke before we could get it leveled.  So basically that meant the camper was tilted a little downwards all weekend.  We tried to fix it with a manual jack, but it still wasn't perfect.  It wasn't noticeable until we went to bed. Our heads were higher than our feet, so we would wake up in the middle of the night and our covers would be at the front of the bed! LOL!  Our next catastrophe was when we went to hook up power to the camper and our extension cord was too short.  And apparently you can't use just any extension cord for this power cord, so it was looking like our camping trip was over before it began.  We were about to pack up and leave, but decided to call one of Eric's dad friends hoping they might have one.  Thankfully they did!!!  So at about  10:00 Thursday night, we finally got power.  Next, we realized we didn't have water.  The pump on the camper was messed up.  But at least we had electricity and AC! We thought to ourselves, okay, this was just one bad night, it's got to get better!  We woke up Friday (covers on the floor, HA) and went to put the barge in.  Thankfully nothing went wrong with the barge, but Eric did get a ticket because we forgot to put our boat slip pass in the window.  But other than that, Friday was a good day.  We went and played golf with some friends and it was alot of fun!  We got back to the campsite Friday evening to grill burgers.  The grill out there was horrible!  We could not get the burgers cooked.  They were burned on the outside and red in the middle.  Yum!  So, I had banana pudding for dinner.  Not complaining there :)  After dinner we decided to play monopoly (the only game we brought).  We got it all set up and ready to play and realized we had no dice.  GREAT!  So, Eric being the creative person he is, found a deck of cards and came up with an alternative for dice.  We each had a joker (for the 1), 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6 just like you have on dice.  And instead of rolling dice, we each flipped over a card. It worked pretty good and it was kinda fun :)  Again, we thought, surely nothing else could go wrong.  I was looking forward to Saturday because that was the day we were going to take the barge out all day and go fishing.  Well, we woke up Saturday and it was FREEZING outside and there was a lake wind advisory!!  It's crazy when it's the middle of May and everyone camping was in jackets and pants.  It was too cold to do anything out on the lake so we played some more monopoly. Finally around 3:00 the sun came out just a little so we decided to try and go out on the barge.  We went out for about an hour, but it was miserable and cold so we just came back to camp.  Our family came out that night to grill steaks with us.  That at least went smoothly! HA!  We all had a good time! After everyone left, we played our fourth game of monopoly for the weekend and went to bed.  I think we were both ready to see Sunday come to get back to civilization!  Oh, and I have no pictures from the weekend because my camera battery was dead.  Add that to the list of things gone wrong!  So, our little baby moon wasn't quite as relaxing as we thought it would be, but it was memorable.  It will be something we can look back on and laugh about :)  Next time we are going to the beach!!

Progress on Room!

The room is coming along!  I still have some decorating to do on the walls, but it's getting closer!

My friend Jeanette did a great job on the bedding!

She also made the curtains!  Thank you Jeanette!  We love it all :)

Baby Shower

I had my baby shower on Saturday and it couldn't have been more perfect.  My hostesses did a great job!  I got so many great things!  I pretty much opened gifts my whole shower.  Eric, Cooper, and I are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends :)

The girls did a great job decorating the table.  It was so cute!

 My cute diaper cake :)

Eric's Aunt Cindy and his cousin, Chase, made the cake for the shower.  Not only was it adorable but it was probably the best cake I've ever eaten, no joke.  It was so yummy!

Me and all my hostesses.  I love these girls!

This was Eric's hat when he was a baby :)

And these were Eric's little shoes he wore home from the hospital when he was born.  So sweet!

I was a little overwhelmed when I got home from the shower!  I got so many great things, but I didn't know where to start to get everything put up and organized.  So... I just sat and stared at it for a couple of hours. HA!  And this is just what would fit in the picture!  There was more!

I walked out of the room and came back to find the girls all snuggled up in Cooper's clothes.  Thank goodness I hadn't washed anything yet :)

Here are a few highlights of we got at the shower.....

Tammy got us this super cute monogrammed bag

The hostesses got us our pack and play.  Yay!

Eric's mom got us our rocking chair.  Daisy seems to love it :)

Eric's mom gave us a box of clothes that Eric wore when he was a baby.  It meant so much to me!  This is the outfit Eric wore home from the hospital :)

Cooper got so many cute onesies and outfits.  These are are just a few of them......

My mom and my family got us our video monitor.  I'm so excited about this because not only will I be able to hear Cooper, but I'll be able to see him :)

I love this picture frame my sister gave me.  It matches the bedding perfectly!
